Cobra 2217 750kv

The latest edition of the 2217, a ‘short shaft’ version with bolt on prop adapter for multirotor use.  Actual motor weight is ~70g not counting the 40cm leads.  And while most motors come in a 2216 size, this is a 2217.  In Spinal Tap tradition, this motor is ‘1’ better.  This model maintains the features we’ve come to know and love about Cobra motors.  High quality construction and windings, individually balanced rotors, machined wire exits with extra thick protective shrink covering motor wires right up to the start of the windings, top quality bearings, fully cuttable silicon leads etc.

This motor is suited for 4S setups with 9″ to 12″ props .  They were originally brought in for the now defunct ‘whitesheep’ frame and as such, are ideal for the TBS Discovery or similar frame lifting some weight on 4S.

Cobra Brushless Multirotor Motors are built from high quality components and are designed to give years of top-level performance.  The Cobra CM-2217 series motors have a 3.17mm motor shaft for extra strength, as well as oversize ball bearings to support the shaft and provide a long life. The stators are made with 0.20mm laminations for maximum efficiency and minimum Eddy Current losses. Since these motors are typically soldered directly to the speed controller for reliability, and often need to be cut to length for the specific installation, the CM-2217 motors come without bullet connectors and feature extended pre-tinned motor leads that are 17 inches (430mm) long. These motors also have 3mm threaded holes in a 16x19mm pattern on the back plate for easy installation on your model.

The CM-2217 series motors include a bolt-on style prop adapter has an M5x0.8mm thread for holding traditional multirotor props that have a 5mm center hole. The included prop washer and nylon insert prop nut provides a solid attachment for your propellers that will not loosen up and slip during use.  All Cobra Motors are shipped in a custom designed package that features protective foam on all sides, with separate compartments to protect the motor and accessory pack.
